IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
1. RESTRICTED EXAMINATION: The Flight Radio Telephone Operator’s Licence (Restricted) examination is restricted upto Private Pilot’s Licence
(PPL) level only.The examination is in two parts, viz. Written (Part-I) & Oral-cum-Practical (Part-II) Only those candidates who pass the written
examination are eligible for oral-cum-Practical examination.
2. EXAMINATION SCHEME & SYLLABUS: Before filling up the application form, candidates are advised to go through the Aircraft Manual and
acquaint themselves with the examination scheme & syllabus.
3. The candidates should fill the application form neatly and clearly in capital letters in their own handwriting. The application form should be duly dated
and signed. Incomplete and unsigned applications will be summarily rejected, without making any further reference to the candidate.
4. COMPUTER NUMBER: A unique Computer number is allotted to every candidate by DGCA (viz CEO/FCE) in the first admit card and followed in all
subsequent admits cards issued to the candidate. Computer number remains the same for Pilot General, Pilot Technical and FRTOL(R ) examinations.
Hence, the candidates are advised to fill in their computer number carefully, in the space provided. In case a candidate has not been allotted with a
computer number or is appearing first time, then he should write “FRESH” in the space provided. In case it comes to notice that a candidate has written
“FRESH” even though a computer had already been allotted, the application form is liable to be rejected.
4.1 In case a candidate has been allotted with more than one computer number previously, all the computer numbers may be mentioned . The computer
number given thereafter in the admit card will be the final computer number.
4.2 Computer number maybe kindly be quoted invariably in all future correspondance concerning examination.
5. SESSION: The FRTOL (R ) examination is held in months of Jan, April, July and Oct. Hence the session desired i.e. month and year may should be
filled in item 10(I ).
6. CENTRES: The centres for the examination with their codes are Amritsar(02), Bangalore(03), Vadodara(04), Bhopal(05), Bhubaneshwar(06),
Mumbai(07), Calcutta(08), Guwahati(09), Hyderabad(10), Indore(12), Jaipur(13), Lucknow(16), Chennai(17), Delhi(19), Port Blair(22) and
Thiruvananthapuram(24). The candidate may fill any one centre of his/her choice in item 10(ii). DGCA reserves the right to cancel any one of
centres. In such event the candidate will be given the nearest centre.
7. FEES: Examination fee is Rs.100 only. The fees is payable through a crossed Demand Draft/Indian Postal Orders in favour of `Pay and Accounts Office,
Director General of Civil Aviation, MCA, New Delhi payable at Delhi. Fee once paid is non-refundable. Candidates are advised also to write their name,
category & session on the reverse of the Demand Draft/I.P.O.
8. WITNESS: The application form is to be witnessed by a gazetted officer with signatures, date and address in the space provided.
9. CERTIFICATE OF CHARACTER AND NATIONALITY: This certificate has to be mandatorily submitted as provided in the application form.
10. SUBMISSION: The complete application form along with fee may be submitted in an envelope superscribing ‘APPLICATION FOR FRTOL(R ):
ATTN. FCE, either by post or by hand addressed to ‘The Examiner of Personnel, CEO. Directorate General of Civil Aviation, East Block-III, R.K.
Puram, New Delhi-110066.
11. LAST DATE: The last date for receipt of application form is the Last working day of the month preceeding the month of examination. No application
received after last day will be considered for the concerned session under any circumstances, but will instead be carried over for the next session of the
same category. DGCA does not take any responsibility for postal delays.

ADMIT CARDS: Candidates will be informed of the venue & time table of examination in the admit card, as early as possible.In case admit card is not
received even by the 15th day of the Examination month, they may contact the Central Examination Organisation for guidance, so as not to miss the
examination.
13.
IDENTITY: Candidates are required to take along with them their pilot licence already held, (in original) or passport or driving licence to the
examination venue for establishing of their identity. Certified photograph as a proof of identity is not acceptable. No candidate will be allowed to take
the examination without a valid proof of identity acceptable to the DGCA.
14. FOREIGN NATIONALS: Applications of foreign national’s should be forwarded through their sponsoring Indian Flying Clubs/Institutes, duly certified
by the CFI, under the cover of the clubs/institutes forwarding letter. Govt. of India clearance and a copy of passport should also accompany the
application.
NB: THIS FORM IS NOT MEANT FOR PILOT GENERAL EXAMINATION.
